The bad weather is set to continue and as a result Portsmouth Historic Dockyard will be closing over the weekend due to safety concerns. Keep checking their website or Twitter feed for up-dates. Other local attractions will remain open including the Royal Navy Submarine Museum where you can join Sammy Sardine in exploring the Horrible Science of Submarines exhibition and under 5s can enjoy Busy Boats Bay play area. Explosion! Museum of Naval Firepower have also confirmed that they are open over the weekend.
National Libraries Day
Saturday 8th February 2014 is National Libraries Day and your local library will be holding an event. Whether it be a treasure hunt, a manga workshop, a Dad’s Rhyme Time session or a digital download workshop that interests you, why not have a look at our events listings, and go along to see what your local library can offer. There are events on at every library in Portsmouth.
If you fancy a trip to the Natural History Museum, you will now find that you can return and borrow books there as well.
The Secret Egypt exhibition is only on for another two weeks at City Musuem. The exhibition explores modern day misconceptions about Ancient Egypt such as ‘Did aliens build the pyramids’ and ‘the curse of the mummy’. Free Entry.

Why not go along to the Aspex Gallery on Saturday and join artist Rochelle Lucey for arts and creative activities? Wear old clothes and bring an overall. Children need to be accompanied by an adult.
