What’s on this weekend in Portsmouth? 26th/27th April 2014

Ticketsolve_mediumWell the weather is pretty awful, so I’ll concentrate on indoors activities!

Kids CinemaThe Odeon, Port Solent is showing Turbo on Saturday and Sunday morning as part of their Kids Films screenings and tickets cost £2.50.  Vue Cinema at Gunwharf Quays is booking Mr. Peabody and Sherman on Saturday and Sunday at 10.30 am. Tickets for Vue Kids AM are £1.75 (£3 for 3D Screenings).

Theatre – The final showing of Bugsy Malone takes place on Saturday afternoon at Groundlings Theatre. On Sunday the theatre will be showing The Boy Who Wasn’t There, a play suitable for 7-11 year olds with a chat with the cast afterwards.  Rock Challenge is on at the Portsmouth Guildhall on Saturday evening.

Workshops – Gosport Discovery Centre will be holding a Blooming Gardens Storytime Special on Saturday, free activities and stories.

Open Days – There is a free open day at Eastney Beam Engine House on Saturday and Sunday, where you can see the Boulton and Watt Beam Engine in its Victorian home.
